A Nigerian woman has shared her surprising reaction after a man touched her breast in public in Mushin, Lagos.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the lady recounted the incident, revealing how the man had the audacity to pat her breast.
She immediately responded by slapping him, leaving a visible imprint on his face.
She wrote, “I just hard-slapped a man in Mushin right now. He had the fucking audacity to pat my breast, like he used his hand to pat it. I slapped him so hard, my handprint was on his face. I wish I took a picture. I’m still shaking, but I’m glad I reacted immediately. I’m going home to cry.”
In her statement, she emphasized how she didn’t hesitate to defend herself when the man touched her. Her slap, she said, left an impact that was evident on his face.
Later, she shared an update, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support she received.
She wrote, “Hi guys, thank you so much, really. I’m actually grateful for all the love. This tweet also created a safe space for women to share their sexual harassment experiences. I’m so sorry for all the experiences that have been shared, both here and in my DMs.”
She continued, “Honestly, I’m not braver than anyone. I’ve frozen before and gone home to cry. Sometimes, I downplay it and blame myself. But today, I was just full of it, and I made sure to hit him with all my strength so he could at least feel the impact of what he did. I still cried because you can never truly get over it.”
Her post sparked a flood of reactions from concerned individuals, who shared their thoughts in the comments.
