Breaking: CCT convicts CJN Onnoghen ,orders forfeiture of money in his 5 bank account APRIL 18, 2019 …Remove him from office and chairman NJC.

Bars him from public office for 10 years Andrew Orolua, Abuja The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), in Abuja has convicted the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN Justice Walter Onnoghen for non declaration of his five bank account with Standard Chartered Bank limited Abuja. Earlier in his rulings the Chairman of the tribunal Danladi Umar had dismissed Onnoghen two applications challenging the jurisdiction of the jurisdiction.

He ruled that the application lack merit because the NJC regulation which stipulate that no judicial official shall be tried without first passing through the NJC disciplinary measures cannot stand in the face of the provision of the constitution.
