“You are hungry and you used your last card to go and watch ball” – Portable slam Nigerians celebrating Super Eagles win against South Africa (video)

Portable, a singer, has made fun of Nigerians who are excited about the national football team, Super Eagles, winning a match against South Africa’s team, Bafana Bafana.

In a video posted on the internet, the singer Portable expressed that people in Nigeria should come together to fight against hunger and difficult times, instead of just focusing on football. He pointed out that many people who were cheering for the Super Eagles’ win might be doing so on an empty stomach, while the players have already been paid.

‘’My people, pray for Nigeria. Hungry wan kill us. You people should sit down and ask yourself ‘Why am I happy? Why am I dancing up and down? Have I eaten? Dollar has risen. Euro is running. Where is the Naira? You are not thinking about your life, you watching football, opening your chest. Your wife and children are at home, they have not eaten and you are shouting ’Goal! Goal!, Up Nigeria!”
