A young man has been killed by suspected armed robbers while jogging in Abuja.

The victim has been identified as Ahmed Usman Hassan, a staff of the Nigerian Upstream Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).

A counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad Region, Zagazola Makama, who confirmed the incident via Twitter said Hassan was shot dead by the assailants while jogging in the early hours of Sunday, December 25, 2022.
