Former England midfielder, Jack Wilshere, has said that Tottenham-bound star, Richarlison cannot play in the Arsenal team.

Wilshere, a former Gunner, said the Brazilian ‘could be really, really good’ but would not get in the Arsenal starting XI.

Tottenham have accepted to pay a £60m package demanded by Everton for the Brazilian forward and a deal is on the verge of being signed.

Before now, the likes of Chelsea, Barcelona, and Manchester United were said to have made moves to sign the Brazil international.

And Despite the 25-year-old scoring 14 goals in 36 caps for his country and helping Everton to avoid relegation last season, Wilshere is yet to be fully convinced by him.

“I wouldn’t say I’m gutted [as an Arsenal fan]. He’s 25, so he’s not young. There comes a point where he’s going to have to turn all that potential into something. To be fair if anyone can do it it’s probably Antonio Conte,” Wilshere told talkSPORT as he discussed the Brazilian forward.

“So I wouldn’t say I was devastated as an Arsenal fan but I think he will be one to watch, he could be really, really good.

“I don’t think he gets in the XI [at Arsenal]. He definitely would challenge for it and would be a good part of the squad. But I don’t think he gets in the XI.”
