A highly expensive Bugatti Veyron worth ₦1.02b  has been seized in Zambia by the authorities

On Wednesday 26 February, the Drug Enforcement Commission in Zambia released an official statement regarding this latest confiscation. From what we hear, the agency is currently running an investigation of the source of income of the owner of this expensive speedster, in order to avoid any breach of laws pertaining to money laundering.

The confiscated ₦1.02b Bugatti Veyron will remain in the custody of Zambian authorities pending the end of investigations

The Bugatti Veyron comes fitted with a W16 8.0-liter engine with a generative output of 987 horsepower and 922-pound feet of torque. It can accelerate easily from zero to 60 mph in a cool 2.4 seconds. Its powerful engine is fitted is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch and a peak speed of 252.9 mph. The insanely fast Bugatti Veyron weighs 4.147lbs.

Seems the owner, if innocent of any charges, may have to wait a bit longer to be cleared of any crime before he can start cruising in his speedster on the Zambian roads.
