Zinedine Zidane Rubbishes Speculation Of Rift With Gareth Bale By Insisting Pair ‘Are United’ At Real Madrid

Zinedine Zidane has insisted he and Gareth Bale ‘are united’ amid reports the Welshman could leave Real Madrid this summer.

Speculation has been rife about the future of the former Tottenham ace, who has been a bit-part player for Los Blancos this term as they surge to their first LaLiga crown since 2017.

Reports have suggested the pair’s relationship has deteriorated to the point of no return, and this was backed up at the weekend with pictures showing Bale messing around during Real’s win over Granada by pretending his sock tape was a pair of binoculars whilst sitting on the bench.

This came just a week after Bale jokingly used his face mask to cover his eyes after Zidane used his final substitute in Real’s victory over Alaves.

Bale hasn’t played a single minute in Real’s last five games, but Zidane has rubbished suggestions he has fallen out with the 30-year-old.

Responding to a question on the player’s future, he said: “Madre mia, this question, eh.

“I’m not saying anything… you try to put things between us but you won’t be able to.
