Dino Melaye Petitions OC MOPOL Kogi State Over Recall Saga (Photo)

Senator Dino Melaye has filed a petition to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) over the conduct of the OC MOPOL Kogi state, CSP Mohammed Sani. The Kogi West senator alleged that Sani was a henchman of the state Governor, Yahaya Bello, and was using his position an officer of the law to wreak havoc in the state.

Melaye stated that CSP Sani was responsible for ordering policemen to work alongside some touts that made an attempt on his life on June 12, 2017, after he finished addressing his constituents at the Kogi state Polytechnic, Lokoja.

IGP receives petition

PoliticsNGR learnt that the petition has been received by the Office of the IGP. Senator Melaye has been locked in a battle with Governor Bello ever since he attacked the governor publicly for not paying owed salaries. He claims that the recent recall process initiated by INEC to remove him from the Senate was being sponsored by Bello and his associates.
