ID Cabasa warns upcoming artists: “Dear Artiste, living in Lekki is not the definition of success”

ID Cabasa is a producer, often credited for launching the careers of Olamide and 9ice, with hits such as ‘Gongo Aso’ ‘Street Credibility’ and ‘Photocopy’ under his portfolio.

Following the recent management troubles between Skales, Runtown and their music records labels, ID Cabasa took time out to sish out advice to young and upcoming artists.
He took to his twitter to bare his mind, warning them that living in Lekki or Island is not a definition of success.

#Dearartiste Music is emotional but Showbiz is not! Talented guys get paid from d POCKET(change) but skilled guys get paid through CHEQUES.
#DearartisteLiving in Lekki/Island is not the definition of success! If after paying the rent u go broke then its not 4 u.
#Dearartiste Street sense=Survival sense! you won’t die if u don’t club! infact clubbing without being paid appearance fee is fraud 2 urself.
#Dearartiste Don’t market your weakness! that u re a great singer/actor doesn’t make u a great Biz man. Song don’t pay d bills d biz does.
