“50 litres of fuel, live goat, suit” – Man cries out over church’s alleged wedding demand list

A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after sharing an alleged list of items a church reportedly requires from couples before their wedding ceremony.

The man, identified as Oyeniran John on Facebook, posted an image of the alleged requirements and questioned the church behind the list.

He captioned the post:

“Which Church is this oo.”

The document, titled “CHURCH DEMAND LIST,” contains several items and payments that couples are allegedly expected to provide before their wedding.

CHURCH DEMAND LIST

1. Food for the church
   i. Food for band (Icooler of rice, 24 crates of mineral and N30,000
   ii. Packaged food for ministers, 2 crates of mineral,
   N10,000 each for ten ministers.
   ili. Food for musicians, 2 crates of mineral and N5,000
   each (Must be presented before the wedding proper is not, music and sound systems will not be turned on.
2. 50litres of fuel for generator
3. Vehicles for transport for General Overseer
4. One live goat Male/Female
5. Two Bags of rice for pastor and wife
6. N50,000 for church marriage certificate
7. Suit for General Overseer
8. Gown for General Overseer’s wife.
