A House Was On Fire This Morning At Owerri (Photos)

Residents of this neighbourhood in Owerri, Imo State woke up to the shouts of fire, which had engulfed a 2-storey building within the neighborhood. According to the eye-witness (Nnamdi Nwaigwe) who took the photos, the Imo State Fire Service Men later intervened, but that was after much damage had been done.
The response was rather slow, but all the same, the fire was eventually put out. But worst still, the Firemen came with rather poor gadgets and it was even said that they worked with ordinary muftis. That’s quite unprofessional.

We hope the government can do more in equipping these guys. But not withstanding, the fire was quenched and no casualty was recorded.
