Achraf Hakimi explains why his assets remain in his mother’s name

Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi has addressed claims that all his money and assets are registered in his mother’s name.

Speaking during an interview, Hakimi explained that when he was 18, he was unable to open a bank account, so his mother managed and received his earnings on his behalf.

According to the Paris Saint-Germain defender, after achieving success in his career, he simply decided to leave the arrangement unchanged.

He also maintained that his mother manages his finances and controls his spending so he doesn’t waste his funds.

Achraf Hakimi: “When I was 18, I couldn’t open a bank account, so my mum collected my money. When I became successful, I just left it that way.”
