Amoo Begs CAF To Allow Zambia Host U-17 AFCON

Golden Eaglets coach, Fatai Amoo has appealed to the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) to consider Zambia to host the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

Morocco stepped down from hosting the tournament due to coronavirus concerns with just few days to the competition.

However, Zambia have said they are still waiting on CAF as regards the country’s willingness to host the 2021 U17 AFCON after the tournament originally to be staged in Morocco was canceled.

Reacting to this development, Amoo urged CAF to allow Zambia to host the competition.

“Very disposed to something you worked for and it’s time to see how the work will benefit in terms of going for the competition and that’s the only way one a be satisfied that you have done something. If that will really happen I think that it will be so good. The players, the coaches, and other stakeholders wi be happy if that will materialize but everything depends on CAF. It is on the table of CAF to decide.”
