APC Reconstructing Lagos Guber Election As “War” Between Igbo & Yoruba – Soyombo

Nigerian investigative journalist, Fisayo Soyombo has stated that the ruling party (APC) are trying so hard to reconstruct Saturday’s Lagos governorship election as a “war” between the Igbo and Yoruba, IGBERETV reports.

To support his statement, he shared screenshots from a WhatsApp group ‘BAT RESPONSE SQUAD’. His tweets read;

“The ruling party and their agents are trying so hard to reconstruct Saturday’s Lagos governorship election as a “war” between the Igbo & Yoruba. This is not only despicable, it’s dangerous.

The attached screenshots, for example, are from the WhatsApp group ‘BAT RESPONSE SQUAD’.

He further stated;

“If this was an #EndSARS WhatsApp group, the DSS would have infiltrated it and begun picking group members up.

The Lagos gov election is not a tribal referendum. Thankfully, some Yoruba, such as the one who sent me this, are not buying the ethnic sentiments being whipped up.”
