APC’s Keyamo Mocks Atiku Over Meeting With UK Govt Officials
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has been ridiculed by Chief Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Festus Keyamo.
Keyamo mocked Atiku over his meeting with British government officials.
Recall that Atiku had yesterday met with the Minister for Development and Africa in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Andrew Mitchell and Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, James Cleverly.
The former Vice President would also meet with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, on Wednesday (today) before returning to the country on Thursday, January 12.
Reacting in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday, Keyamo said Atiku met with junior British government officers who acted in private capacities and hoodwinking Nigerians to believe that he was on some kind of official visits.
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment added that the APC standard bearer, Bola Tinubu, is meeting the real voters across the county, saying that the results of the presidential election should not come as a surprise to anyone.
He wrote: “Whilst some other candidates are meeting with junior officers in the UK in private capacities and hoodwinking Nigerians that they are on some kind of official visits, our own @officialABAT is meeting the real voters here. Let the result of the election not shock anyone!”
