“Are we babies?” – Backlash as VeryDarkMan claims hacker stole ₦180m from ₦200m NGO funds

Popular online personality, VeryDarkMan is facing backlash on social media after claiming that ₦180 million was stolen from his NGO‘s website, leaving only ₦20 million remaining.

In a recent video circulating on X (formerly Twitter), VeryDarkMan said, “For the past few days, I’ve not been myself. Somebody hacked into the NGO website, and I don’t know how they did it, but ₦180 million is missing.”

This revelation comes weeks after he announced the launch of his NGO aimed at improving Nigeria’s education sector.

Following the announcement, he shared his bank account details, allowing hundreds of Nigerians, including several celebrities, to donate millions of naira to the cause.

However, barely a month later, VeryDarkMan revealed that ₦180 million of the ₦200 million raised had been stolen after the NGO’s website was allegedly hacked.

His statement has sparked widespread skepticism, with many social media users accusing him of lying and damaging his credibility.
