Joy for Arsenal fans as star player and Captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reportedly reached a verbal agreement on a three-year new contract worth £250,000-per-week.

The Gabon international had 11 months left on his existing contract and heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United monitoring his situation.

The 31-year-old has been reluctant in making a decision on a new deal and considering his options. But passionate plea from fans after his brace against Chelsea helped the Gunnars to their 14th FA Cup title may have made the former Lille star take a stance on staying at the club.

Reports in The Telegraph reveal that Aubameyang is on the brink of committing his immediate future to the North Londoners after getting assurances from manager Mikel Arteta that the club will back him on new signings.

Aubameyang has scored 70 goals from 109 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal.
