Barcelona will get back to some form of normalcy from next week as the first-team players will return to the club’s training ground, where they will take the coronavirus tests before starting training, first on an individual basis and then collectively.

Throughout these days of confinement, Barcelona have carried out maintenance work on the training pitches’ grass so that they are in perfect condition for the resumption of training.

This maintenance work has also been carried out at the Camp Nou, where a special emphasis has been placed on the grass for when matches return.

It must be taken into account that the forecast is to resume the competition at the end of June, a month in which normally no more matches are played because it is already a holiday period.

For this reason, more heat-resistant varieties of grass have been introduced into the Camp Nou pitch.

In June and July there will be five LaLiga Santander matches at Barcelona’s home, so the grass will require special care due to the accumulation of matches and the strong heat in July in Barcelona.
