Burna Boy snubs Ronaldo and Messi, names Jay Jay Okocha as his greatest footballer of all time

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed his football favourites, snubbing the popular Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi debate.

Speaking during a recent interview, the Afrobeats star named former Super Eagles captain Jay Jay Okocha as his all-time favourite footballer, saying the Nigerian legend ranks alongside Brazilian icon Pele.

According to Burna Boy, he has never been interested in comparing Ronaldo and Messi, insisting his greatest player of all time is either Okocha or Pele.

In his words, he said his greatest footballer of all time is:

“Jay Jay Okocha or Pele.”

The singer also revealed that England captain Harry Kane is his favourite striker of all time, while Manchester United remains his favourite football club.

Burna Boy further named Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal as the best young player in the world at the moment and identified Kobbie Mainoo as his favourite Manchester United player.

His choices have since sparked reactions among football fans, with many praising his admiration for Okocha, while others questioned his decision to leave Ronaldo and Messi out of the conversation.
