The Confederation of Africa Football, CAF has banned the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos from hosting any international matches.
According to the Africa football governing body, The Teslim Balogun stadium did not meet the minimum requirements to host an international match.
CAF state that the stadium lacks a good pitch, floodlights, emergency medical facilities and an electronic scoreboard.
The stadium needs to be modernised with a new standard pitch, media centre, VIP seats and spectators seats.
CAF also Stated that the spectators stand of the stadium needs general maintenance like painting and cleaning with refreshment and Catering Facilities for all spectators.
The Super Eagles used the Teslim Balogun Stadium for their 2022 world Cup and 2021 AFCON qualifiers after moving from Uyo to Asaba and Benin for their International matches.
The CAF ban simply means, The Super Eagles of Nigeria will look for a home with the availability and readiness of the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja or return to Godwill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo for the execution of their home games.
