A Nigerian cake vendor has gone viral after sending yam peels to a client who tried to scam her with a fake transfer.
The incident was shared in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, by the vendor herself, @thebantaa, who confirmed that the client also paid for the delivery of the package.
According to the vendor, the client falsely claimed to have sent a payment for a cake order.
Upon discovering the transaction was a fake alert, she decided to get even by packaging yam peels and sending it to him instead.
A video shared in the post shows the moment the delivery was made.
The client, unaware of the trick, received the package—only to discover yam peels inside. After realizing what had happened, he blocked the vendor.
“I’m the vendor 🤭🤭. Also, the customer paid for delivery. I informed the dispatch rider to get his money before handing over the package to him,” she wrote.
