Cassie admits she went to therapy but not for sex therapy

Singer Cassie Ventura testified in court on Friday that she sought treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder in early 2023 after struggling with her mental health, detailing her experience at a trauma-focused treatment center in Arizona. Speaking under cross-examination by the defense team of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, Ventura revealed that she spent 45 days at Willow House, a facility specializing in trauma and emotional recovery.

According to her testimony, therapists at Willow House helped her process traumatic memories through various forms of therapy. Cassie said she underwent eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and participated in neurofeedback sessions, during which her brain was hooked up to a machine designed to regulate brain wave activity. She told the court that she received neurofeedback treatments approximately once a week during her stay.

While Diddy’s attorney, Anna Estevao, noted that Willow House works with individuals dealing with sex compulsion and love addiction, Ventura firmly stated that she was not treated for either condition. The facility’s website describes its program as one that supports women dealing with intimacy and relationship issues, emotional trauma, and dual diagnoses.

Ventura also disclosed that she was prescribed buprenorphine for opiate addiction in 2022 and is still on the medication, adding another layer to her account of ongoing mental health treatment.

Her testimony is part of a broader legal case involving allegations against Diddy, with Ventura offering detailed insights into her psychological and emotional state during and after her relationship with the music executive.
