Celebrity photographer, David Martins’ wife accuses him of domestic violence, hurting their 3-months-old baby, among others

Popular wedding photographer David Martins’ wife has accused him of d0mestic vi0lence and buse, alleging that she endured years of physical, verbal and psychological mistreatment during their marriage.

In a statement, she claimed Martins attacked her on May 7, 2026, while she was carrying their three-month-old son.

She said she had remained silent for three years to protect his reputation but decided to speak out after realising that her silence was no longer protecting her or her child.

The woman also alleged that Martins portrayed a loving, faith-driven image online that was different from what she experienced behind closed doors.

She said the matter has been reported to the Lagos Police, Gender Unit, US Embassy and Canadian Embassy, adding that she has photographs and footage relating to her allegations.

She also thanked friends and family who helped her and her son leave their home and provided them with financial and other support.

“This is not gossip to me. This is not entertainment. This is not social media drama. This is my life. This is my son’s life. And this is our truth to tell,” she said.
