Chaos In Zamfara State, As Muslim Students Almost Killed A Christian Student For Alleged Blasphemy

At the Abdu Gusau Polythecnic, Talata Mafara, Zamfara state, on Sunday 21st of August 2016, a Christian student was accused of blasphemy by the Muslim students. He was then beaten almost to the point of death.

By divine intervention, the NIFES patron was able to rush him to the hospital through the help of another Muslim who volunteered with his car.

On Monday morning a mob gathered and insisted the Christian student must be killed. They moved round the school, burnt down the Christian fellowship secretariats.

Then proceeded to town, destroying churches and threatening to kill any Christian that will ever return to Talata Mafara.

We are currently in touch with NIFES students and the patron, whose life is particularly threatened and yet to reunite with his family members as they’ve all fled to another village for safety.
