Chelsea has joined the likes of Liverpool and Inter Milan in the race to sign RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, according to report.

The Germany international is tipped to leave the Red Bull Arena at the end of the current campaign.

Werner is a subject of interest from Liverpool and the likes of Chelsea and Inter Milan have joined the race to sign the German attacker.

The Reds are widely considered to be the favourites to sign the 24-year-old, but they are believed to be facing competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Serie A giants Inter Milan for his signature.

Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport suggests that Inter are also now in the running for Werner’s signature, with Antonio Conte actively on the lookout for a player to replace Lautaro Martinez.

The report indicates that Conte is a fan of Werner and sees him as an ideal partner for Romelu Lukaku, with his £51m release clause unlikely to prove a major hurdle.
