Chelsea & Manchester City set to miss out on Nigerian descent David Alaba for La Liga clubs of Real Madrid or Barcelona in the summer

The 27-year-old Austria international who will see his contract at Bayern Munich expire next summer is believed to be a target for the Premier League champions ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

Real Madrid Chelsea and Barcelona have also been credited with an interest versatile player.

According to German outlet Bild claims that Alaba who highly sought after due to his versatility in between defense and the midfield has made 372 appearances for Bayern Munich since his debut is 2010, and has played 28 times for them this season.

Alaba is likely to be available for a fee in the region of €35-40M due to his contractual situation but the players with Manchester City and Chelsea will have to battle El Clasico pair will now challenge them.

Alaba is not the only contract concern for Bayern, with Thomas Muller, Manuel Neuer, and Thiago all entering the final year of their deals in the summer.
