Chelsea is prepared to battle Manchester City in the race to sign West Ham star Declan Rice whose performance has attracted the services of top Premier League.

Declan Rice has been on the radar of Manchester United and Manchester City but Chelsea has joined the wagon to sign the England international.

Rice has been sensational for the Hammer and his display in the past season has attracted the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City and Chelsea has joined the wagon to land the West Ham defensive midfielder.

The report in Sky Sports News, Chelsea are interested in signing Rice, who is close friends with Blues’ midfielder, Mason Mount.

Chelsea was on the verge of signing a defensive midfielder in the last transfer period with Lille star Boubakary Soumare on the Blues radar as Kante future looks uncertain at the Stamford Bridge next season.
