Samuel Chukwueze was in action for 89 minutes as Villarreal beat Valencia 2-0 at the Estadio de la Ceramica on Sunday evening to enhance their chance of qualifying for the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League.

The 21-year-old was not among the goals or created an assist but his performance would’ve made national team boss, Gernot Rohr proud.

Former Borussia Dortmund forward, Paco Alcacer finished off a fine pass from Gerard Moreno to hand the Yellow Submarines the lead and just before half-time, ex-Arsenal midfielder produced a delicate touch to make space for Moreno and he made no mistake as he scored past Dutch goalkeeper, Jasper Cillessen in goal for the visitors.

Both teams did not score in the second half and the 2-0 win enhanced Villareal’s chance of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. With the victory, Villarreal are fifth with 51 points, just three points adrift fourth placed Sevilla while Valencia sit eighth with 46points.
