Couple divorces hours after wedding in Abuja, gives shocking reason

A Nigerian couple allegedly throws friends and family into an infuriating shock as they end their marriage just hours after tying the knot in Abuja.

Habibu Abubakar Wushishi, the Director of Media and Strategy at the Niger State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management made this shocking revelation on Facebook.

Taking to his page on Sunday, December 29, 2024, Wushishi shared the unusual incident, stating that the couple got married on Saturday, December 28, and divorced the very next morning.

Lamenting the fuel wasted on attending the wedding, Wushishi affirmed that while it sounded like a fairy tale, it was nothing but the truth.

“A couple who got married yesterday have been divorced this morning. Reason: They both have been lying to each other; they made me waste my fuel to Gwagwalada for nothing,” he wrote.
