Davido wears custom jacket with names of abducted Oyo Children to FIFA World Cup countdown event

Singer, Davido delivered an electrifying performance last night at the FIFA World Cup Countdown Concert at the Crypto.com Arena, using the international platform to draw global attention to a crisis back in Nigeria.

Davido made a powerful statement by taking the stage in a custom jacket dedicated to the 39 students and seven teachers abducted by terrorists in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on May 15. The outfit featured green badges bearing the names of individual victims, alongside a bold inscription across the back that read, “Bring Them Home”. 

Before taking the stage, Davido shared a message highlighting the tragedy and urging quicker government intervention to rescue those still held captive.

‘’May God be with the families of the abducted and the ones that have been k!lled. It’s just a very very sad situation. We still haven’t been rescued. We are praying to God everyday and also praying to God that the government hastens up with their rescue.

My country is going through alot. It;s sad” he said
