Delta chief drops case and reconciles with his wife after she poured hot water on him over side chick

A Nigerian Chief, Phillip Uweno has forgiven and reconciled with his wife three months after she poured hot water on him over a side chick in Delta state. 

Human rights activist, Comrade Israel Joe, confirmed the development in a Facebook post on Monday, December 2024.

According to Joe, the man dropped the case against his wife and brought her back to his house. 

“Do you remember the story I posted two months ago about a wife that poured høt water on her husband (Chief Philip) because of side chic in Jeddo, Okpe LGA of Delta State,” he wrote. 

“Come closer let me tell you the outcome. The man gave permission that she should be released, they finally settled the matter and the wife is back to his house.

“On behalf of all the tatafo people with Israel Joe as the ring leader, we don know say dem nor dey shook mouth for husband and wife matter. Chief Philips we greet una and happy marriage continuation. Lol.” 

Speaking with the Vanguard from his hospital bed at Ekpan in Uvwie Local Government Area of the state after the incident, Uweno said poured hot water on him and hit him on the back of his head three times with a wood. 

He said he managed to wriggle out of the house with his car key and drove very fast to the hospital with blood gushing from his head. 

“I am Chief Uweno. My wife poured hot water on me. After the hot water, she used wood on my head three times. I had to struggle to run out of the house. I jumped into my car and drove to the hospital bleeding,” he narrated. 

“My wife has been threatening to injure me because of girlfriend. I am from Okpe Adagbrasa in Elume. My wife is from Uvwie in Ekpan.” 

“When pressed for reasons why his wife vented her anger on him in such brutal manner, Chief Phillip simply said: ”It was because of girlfriend,” 

He said he had warned his wife several times to manage her anger else she could harm him in a way that she could regret. 

“I have told my wife several times to be careful with her anger that she could harm me and later regret. I will not advise any man to have a woman with such anger as a wife. It’s dangerous,” he added.
