“Don’t get pregnant for a man…”— Lady lists three conditions women should discuss before having a baby

A lady has stirred widespread conversation on social media after advising women not to get pregnant for a man unless he agrees to three key conditions beforehand.

In a video that has attracted attention online, she argued that many women overlook important discussions before starting a family, only to face financial, emotional and parenting challenges later. Her comments have since generated mixed reactions among internet users.

According to her, one of the first issues couples should address is financial support during pregnancy and after childbirth, stressing that women should not bear the burden alone if their careers and daily activities are temporarily affected.

Lady explains the three conditions

The lady said, “Don’t get pregnant for a man if he doesn’t agree to these.”

Speaking on financial support, she added, “A certain amount of money: The man is supposed to give you a tangible amount of money before you get pregnant for him… then he must place you on an allowance.”

She also urged women to discuss delivery options before pregnancy, saying, “Caesarean section: I’m not saying you need his permission to get it done but you need to have the conversation with him so you know how he thinks.”

On parenting responsibilities, she further stated, “Paternity leave: While companies grant new mothers maternity leave, they also grant new fathers paternity leave… a lot of men just choose not to take it.”

Comments spark wider debate on parenting responsibilities

Her remarks have fuelled conversations online, with many social media users agreeing that financial preparedness and open communication are essential before having children.

Others, however, argued that some of the expectations may not be practical for every couple, particularly those facing financial difficulties.

The discussion continues to draw reactions, highlighting differing opinions on shared parenting responsibilities, childbirth decisions and financial planning before starting a family.
