A Nigerian singer has accused popular music producer Niphkeys of beat theft, alleging that he stole a beat from him and sold it to Odumodublvck.
The accusation surfaced in a post shared on his account on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
The singer revealed that in November of last year, he sent Niphkeys a beat he had created, hoping for a response.
However, months later, he discovered the same beat had been used in a song by Odumodublvck, allegedly sold to the artist by Niphkeys.
Outraged, he publicly called out the producer, writing, “Sent Niphkeys my bro’s song in November just to find out he remade the same beat for Odumodu. Why’s the music industry so cruel?”
In response, Niphkeys denied the allegations, stating he never even opened the singer’s message.
He fired back, writing, “If not that you are stupid, you will see I didn’t even open your message when you sent the song. It’s still showing sent. Stupid fool!”
The singer, however, persisted, accusing Niphkeys of deleting multiple tweets to cover his tracks.
He wrote, “If you aren’t lying, you won’t have deleted over four tweets, Thiefkeys.”
In an attempt to clear his name, Niphkeys shared a screenshot showing he purchased the beat from an online platform.
Despite this, the singer dismissed the evidence, maintaining that the producer had stolen the beat from him.
