1.1 Classroom

A classroom is a learning space in which both children and adults learn. The classroom provides a space where learning can take place uninterrupted by outside distractions. The Classroom environment is one of the most important factors affecting student learning.

1.2 Management

The term Management is often referred to as an individual or group of persons entrust with the responsibilities to manage, coordinate and direct the affairs of an organization (School, Church, Office, Business, Shop etc.) on behalf of an individual or group of persons. Management is also seen as a process of planning, decision making, organizing, leading, motivation and controlling the human resources, financial, physical, and information resources of an organization to reach its optimal goals efficiently and effectively.

1.3 Classroom Management

The term classroom management refers to the wide variety of skills and techniques that teachers use to keep students organized, orderly, focused, attentive, on task, and academically productive during a classroom session. Most are time classroom management is difficult for new teachers because you cannot learn good classroom management from a textbook or from lectures from a professor.

  • Good classroom management also comes from having a good mentor teacher during student teaching.

Effective classroom management therefore requires awareness, patience, good timing, boundaries, and instinct.   • Instructional time,
  • Engaged time, and
  • Academic learning time.
