Ex-Minister Of Health, Isaac Adewole’s Son Abducted At Gunpoint

Ex-Minister Of Health, Isaac Adewole’s Son Abducted At Gunpoint

The son of the immediate past Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, Dayo, has been abducted by unknown gunmen.

Dayo was abducted at gunpoint on his farm in Iroko near Fiditi in Afijio loval government area of Oyo state yesterday June 18th at about 6pm.

The gunmen stormed the farm and went straight for him. They carried him into their waiting vehicle and fled the scene to an unknown destination.

”The villagers were alerted by the staff who survived the ordeal. Local hunters were mobilised by the Oniroko of Iroko. The hunters were said to have located the car of the abductors along the road to Iware village near Iroko. But they are yet to locate Dayo’s whereabouts. It was suspected that the kidnappers might have changed their vehicle following persistent announcement on radio after Oniroko had raised the alarm on air.” a source said

The military, the police and security agencies as well as hunters are currently on the trail of the abductors.

The Minister who travelled out last week Thursday, is said to have cut short his trip and is on his way back home.
