Fake Military Personnel Arrested As Police Bust Syndicate Planning To Unleash Mayhem In Delta

Two fake military personnel, Mike Okon and Wilson Sunday have been arrested by the Delta State Police Command in Asaba, the state capital.
 
Spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday, March 13, 2023, said the suspects are members of a syndicate planning to cause mayhem in the state, disguised as military personnel to deceive their unsuspecting victims.
 
According to the PPRO, an army camouflage uniform, a pair of black jungle boots, three green berets and a black beret, were recovered from the suspects during a raid of their hideout.
 
“The Command received information about a syndicate in Asaba planning to cause mayhem in the state, disguised as military personnel to deceive their unsuspecting victims. The commissioner of Police Delta State Command CP Ari Muhammed Ali, FCIA, psc+ detailed a combined team from the department of operations “COBRA 11″ comprising of operatives from response squad, Raiders Squad, and operations department,” the statement read.
