Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State, on Monday, revalidated his membership status of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Badaru revalidated his membership status of the ruling party at his polling unit, Arewa 002 at Kofar Arewa Primary School in Babura town.

The Jigawa State chapter of the party had fixed 8th, February, 2021 for membership revalidation and registration of new members.

The party targeted about 800,000 members in the exercise, which will cover the period of two weeks.

Addressing party supporters after revalidating his membership, Governor Badaru, therefore, called on people of the state to come out en mass to revalidate and register with the party.

“Is only when you register you will become a bonafide member of the party and have the right to vote for a party leader or be voted for.

“It is based on the numbers of registered members in our state we can be able to secure you more developmental projects.

“So, also in local government areas, I want to see which local government will register more members,” he stated.
