Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish and RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano will not be joining Manchester United this summer, according to reports.

Both players has been strongly linked with a switch to Old Trafford in recent months, while Grealish is seen as an alternative to Jordon Sancho, Upamecano is believed to have emerged as a defensive target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side over the last few weeks.

Sky Sports News claims that Aston Villa’s survival in the Premier League made Grealish ‘too expensive’ and the arrival of Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek ensured that do not necessarily need the signing.

According to the report, Upamecano will not be joining Man United before the transfer deadline at the start of October despite the Frenchman enjoying a fantastic UEFA Champions League campaign.

Man United reached three semifinals last season and will hope for a better campaign when the their 2020-21 Premier League officially starts at home to Crystal Palace on September 19.
