A police escort identified as Yusuf Igoche was killed on Tuesday October 15th after unknown gunmen attacked the vehicle of his principal along the Lagos-Benin expressway.

According to reports, Igoche was accompanying his principal when their vehicle, a Lexus GX470 Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), was attacked at about 3pm by the gunmen.  The unnamed principal was said to have sustained several injuries and rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) for emergency care.

Security sources say the police and military operatives have been deployed to comb the forest and arrest the culprits.
