A Nigerian man’s unfortunate tale has surfaced online, revealing how he was compelled to move within Nigeria following false rape accusations made by his wife. The account was shared by @novieverest, who learned about the story from the man himself, a Bolt driver.

The man shared that his Bolt driver, residing with his wife and children, faced turmoil after the loss of his parents. Describing an altercation, the driver disclosed that he smashed his wife’s phone during an argument. This led his angered wife to falsely accuse him of rape, reporting the incident to the police.

He expended a significant amount of money during the legal proceedings, causing considerable financial strain. Subsequently, his wife revisited the police, admitting the inaccuracy of her accusation. Despite her confession, the police insisted on completing their investigation.

Although the police eventually dropped the charges, the man had already incurred financial losses. Anticipating even higher costs in the impending divorce proceedings, particularly with monthly child support obligations, he felt compelled to relocate as his only viable option.
