It has been advised that people observe social distancing to reduce the rate of coronavirus infections and spread.

There are currently over 180, 000 cases worldwide, over 80,000 recoveries and over 7,000 deaths.

Social distancing is deliberately increasing the physical space between people to avoid spreading illness. This means staying at least six feet away from other people to lessens your chances of catching COVID-19.

This is why governments have ordered millions of people to stay at home and organisations have cancelled mega events like the National Sports Festival in Nigeria, English Premiership in England and the Met Gala in the US just to prevent the spread of the virus. If we can all practice social distancing to the best of our abilities, the pandemic will definitely slow down.
