Despite the threat of renewed attacks, the man vowed to remain in the country, openly challenging those calling for foreign nationals to leave.
In the footage, the storekeeper—employed at a local mall—boldly addressed his detractors, claiming he had “taken their jobs” and inviting disgruntled locals to confront him. His refusal to flee highlights the deepening friction between South African citizens and the migrant community over economic opportunities and national stability.
