“I didn’t eat or bathe for four days” – Peller recounts ordeal after release from police custody

Popular Nigerian TikToker and streamer Peller has opened up about his time in police custody after regaining his freedom, revealing that he spent nearly four days in a cell without eating or bathing.

In a post shared on his Snapchat page, Peller admitted he was still too shaken to show his face, joking that he looked “ugly” after the ordeal.

According to him, it was the first time he had ever been locked up, describing the experience as one he would never forget.

“I can’t show my face yet because I’m ugly. Omo, I slept in the cell for almost four days. It has never happened to me before in my life,” he wrote.

The content creator recalled that other inmates welcomed him by calling him their “001,” a title that made him laugh despite his situation.

However, he said he refused to interact with anyone throughout his stay in detention.

“As they put me for cell, people wey dey there said, ‘You be our 001 now.’ Omo, I burst laugh once. I no follow anybody talk till I comot. 001 wey una wan give water and beans to eat. I didn’t eat or bathe for four days. Dem wan wicked me, but God save me,” he added.

Peller’s comments come days after he was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly driving a vehicle without a plate number along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road.

He was subsequently arraigned before a magistrate court in Lagos on Wednesday, July 9, on a three-count charge bordering on resisting arrest, obstructing police officers from carrying out their lawful duties, and allegedly threatening and filming officers during the operation.
