“If a girl is in a coma, can her husband still fulfill his martial rights” – Muslim man asks for religious direction on his marital rights

A Muslim man has shocked X users with his question about his rights as a married man according to religion. 

He took to X to write: “If a girl is in a coma, can her husband still fulfill his martial rights? Anybody updated on coma fiqh?” 
 

He added in another post: “While we’re on this topic, since the Mālikī and Shāfi‘ī schools permit a v!rgin girl’s wali to marry her off without her consent, if she’s in a coma, can he still contract her nikah?” 
 

As Muslims slammed him, telling him it was wrong to consider intercourse with an unconscious woman, he stood his ground and asked to see where it is written in the Holy book.
