“I’m never getting married, and it’s actually because of divorce” — Tyler Perry

American filmmaker, actor and producer Tyler Perry has revealed that he has no plans to get married, citing the financial consequences he has seen people face after divorce.

Speaking on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Perry said marriage itself does not bother him, but the possibility of divorce does.

“It’s not the marriage that bothers me. It’s the divorce. Everybody that I know that did well and went broke, it was because of a divorce, so I’m good just being free,” he said.
