“I’m not submissive, your money is our money” – Lady sparks debate with marriage expectations

A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after revealing five reasons she believes some men may not want to date or marry her.

In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she opened up about her views on submission, finances, and household responsibilities, insisting that she prefers to be honest about her expectations in relationships.

According to her, the first reason is that she does not believe in submissioladyn and prefers mutual respect between partners.

“I’m not submissive. I don’t believe in submission. Two people are together, two people should be submitting to each other. Some days you submit to me, some days I submit to you. It’s a mutual respect thing,” she said.

She also disclosed that she believes a man’s money should be shared by both partners, while her own money remains hers.

The lady admitted that she is not used to financially taking care of men because she grew up seeing men provide for women.

She further stated that her father has set a very high standard for the kind of man she can be impressed by, adding that she has been overly pampered and expects similar treatment from any future partner.

“Your money is our money, my money is my money. My dad has already set a very high standard. I’m overly pampered, and I’m very lazy when it comes to house chores. Cooking is therapy for me, not a necessity,” she added.

Her comments have since generated mixed reactions online, with some agreeing with her views while others argued that her expectations may make finding a compatible partner difficult.
