Simon Ekpa was reacting after Justice Tanko had refused to admit Kanu to bail on Wednesday.

“Simon Ekpa, the self-styled disciple of Nnamdi Kanu has lashed out at Justice Binta Nyako over her refusal to grant bail to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
 
Ekpa took to Twitter to express his displeasure.
 
On Wednesday Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court (FHC), Abuja refused to admit Kanu to bail, saying he has to give reason for the bail to be granted.
 
The ruling on the fresh bail application and hearing is now set for May 26.
 
Reacting to the bail denial, Finland-based Ekpa referred Justice Tanko to a January 2022 judgment, where the High Court of Abia State ordered the Federal Government to pay N1 billion compensation to Kanu, for the violation of his fundamental rights, including the illegal invasion of his country home in Afara Ukwu, Umuahia North Local Government Area (LGA) of the state in September 2017 by the military.

“It is an insult for Justice Binta to claim he needed to know the details surrounding the so called jumping bail when a court of competent jurisdiction already ruled on that and awarded damages against the Government. Is Binta not aware of this fact?” Ekpa wrote on his known Twitter handle.
