The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has responded to claims that arise out of Nnewi, Anambra State, that a portion of its individuals assaulted a Catholic minister amid the stay-at-home request held crosswise over South-Eastern Nigeria on Thursday.

IPOB’s response was contained in an announcement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful.

The gathering said that it remains the quietest association as there had never been any proof of them using any firearm or any weapon to assault individuals not to discuss Christians.

IPOB expressed gratitude toward the Nnewi business network and different urban communities for remaining in solidarity with the gathering on Thursday to show regard to the fallen saints and courageous women of Biafra.

The gathering’s announcement included, “It is clear to the overall population that since the beginning of IPOB, we don’t convey or move about with cleaver, AK47 rifle or any weapon.

“We wonder why Nigeria Government and her security organizations would concoct such waste as opposed to stating indeed what occurred in Nnewi and how they neglected to mislead Biafrans to comply with the sit at home request issued by IPOB expert.

“It’s wretched that National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) conflicted with some Nnewi youth and medication vendors in Nnewi yesterday and labeled it to a tranquil development like IPOB.

“Since the development and initiation of this incredible development supporting the freedom of Biafran individuals, we never assaulted or slaughtered anyone in Biafraland or Nigeria state. IPOB does not enjoy such shrewdness acts regardless of the dimension of assault, executing, embarrassment, terrorizing, torment against us.
