I’ve had over six miscarriages — Ini Edo opens up

Nollywood actress Ini Edo shares her personal struggles with childbirth, as she opens up on six miscarriages.

In a recent appearance on the reality show “Young, Famous and African,” the 42-year-old mother of one opened up about her challenging journey to parenthood.

Ini Edo revealed that she had gotten married at 26 with the expectation of completing her childbearing by 31, retiring, and focusing on her career.

However, life had other plans. She disclosed that she had suffered over six miscarriages, undergone IVF, and experienced pregnancy losses midway.

She said…

“I got married at the age of 26 because I thought that by 31, I would have been done with childbearing, retired, and focused on my career, but life didn’t go that way. I tried. I have had over six miscarriages. It wasn’t an easy journey for me. I’ve done IVF. I’ve lost pregnancies midway. I know what I’ve dealt with as a woman.”
