Lady goes numb as female friend demands transport fare for hangout

A young Nigerian lady has shared a shocking encounter with a newfound friend who demanded transport fare for their planned hangout.

A TikTok user identified as Chisom Melisa sparked a debate online after narrating how she befriended a lady, and their chats soon led to an agreement to meet in person.

However, she was taken aback when her friend asked for transport fare, despite Chisom offering to cover the cost of their drinks.

“I met a girl on TikTok; we were always talking and chatting until we became friends. She always said she was busy with work and suggested we hang out. I agreed and said we should hang out, and I’d pay for the drinks. Then she asked, ‘Hope you will give me transport fare?’ I went numb for a minute. Like, why? I’m already paying for the drinks, and you’re asking for transport fare,” Chisom narrated in disbelief.

The video has generated mixed reactions on social media. While some users supported Chisom and expressed disapproval of the friend’s request, others likened it to men going through similar issues with women.

A social media user @Sugar🌻 reacted, “She can’t be making this up cos it has happened to me as well but in my case it is ice cream, i got ice cream for myself and her but she said i should buy for her sisters that is at home imagine dat.”

Another user @iamRocky added, “Okay u de feel am u don rush com complain… tarrrr go pay tp oooo…. You get luck say she no say make u lodge am.”
